The legislation implementing the Island’s measures in relation to Pillar 2 Global Minimum Tax was approved by Tynwald in November 2024 and comes into force from 1 January 2025.
The seminar will aim to provide:
an overview of the Isle of Man’s Pillar 2 legislation;
detail in relation to the obligations imposed on in-scope businesses, including in relation to registration with the Income Tax Division; and
highlight the immediate obligations on any Isle of Man in-scope entities that may be liquidating, re-domiciling etc from 1 January 2025 onwards.
There will be an opportunity at the end of the presentation for Questions.
This seminar is presented by David Parsons who is a Deputy Assessor at the Income Tax Division with primary responsibility for the Government’s response to Pillar 2.
David is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor and prior to joining the Division he spent over 30 years with a Big 4 Accountancy practice, advising on a wide range of corporate and personal tax matters.
