Available from 3rd June, this is the third in a series of DQ sponsored recorded webinars by speakers from Crowe UK.
The speaker, Ian Shirley discusses real life cases where it has been demonstrated that clients have a 'reasonable excuse' for the errors they have made, and agreed with HMRC that no penalties should be due.
Ian Shirley is a Senior Manager in Crowe's Tax Resolutions group. Ian is a former Inspector of Taxes who, since leaving HMRC in 2007, has offered specialist advice and representation to those who find themselves under enquiry by HMRC, particularly Code of Practice 9 Investigations involving suspected serious fraud. Ian has assisted clients via the Offshore Disclosure Facility, New Disclosure Opportunity, the Liechtenstein, Isle of Man and latterly Worldwide Disclosure Facilities. Ian is a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians and the ICAEW's Tax Investigations Practitioner Group.
