This DQ sponsored seminar is with Ray Todd, team leader leagal library and collectorate support, Customs and Excise Division, Isle of Man Government.
FATF has identified three main methods by which criminal organisations and terrorist financiers move money for the purpose of disguising its origin and integrating it into the formal economy. One of these is by the use of so-called "trade-based money laundering" which is something mentioned in both the Island's National Risk Assessment (NRA) completed last year and the more recent Moneyval evaluation. One aim of the Action Plan arising from the NRA is to raise awareness of the risks it presents.
Coffee and registration will be from 12 noon for a prompt 12.30 pm start.
This DQ sponsored event is free to staff of ACSP member firms and to associate members.
